Teaching Children to Write

With Word Wizard Handwriting children learn to combine basic shapes into complete letter forms.

Children begin with the letter ‘a’. Then they learn the letter ’d’ and the word ‘dad’. Every new letter that children learn is placed into a word featuring letters they have previously learned to ensure they progressively consolidate their prior learning and reinforce their phonics and reading skills.

Word Wizard Handwriting is designed to complement the Word Wizard Phonics scheme but can also be used independently.

Resources are available for lowercase print, cursive, uppercase, numbers and symbols.
